Special Notes:

  • A reminder that we still have free tutoring going on every Tuesday after school in the Learning Commons from 3:30 – 4:30. If students don’t utilize this free service we may lose our high school volunteers.
  • Please make sure your child has a proper winter jacket, headwear to cover their ears and mitts or gloves. This past week we had students arriving in just a hoodie often with the excuse “ I get a ride to school”. We are still going outside at lunch unless it is colder than -20 degrees including the wind-chill. Also if we needed to evacuate the school or have a fire drill, students must have winter clothing to protect themselves. I know it is hard with this age group for you to make sure that they are dressed properly but they need to have the clothing with them. Thank you.
  • Sir Winston Churchill High School is holding their Open House on Thursday January 18th, 2018 from 6:00 -8:00 PM. Everyone is welcome.
  • Tom Baines Open House for students new to Tom Baines school will be held on Thursday March 1st, 2018 from 7:00-8:30 PM. This is open to any new students designated to our school along with those looking to apply to Tom Baines School. Next year we will be very full and will only be accepting students in grade 6 – 9  from Edgemont and grades 7-9 from The Hamptons. First priority will go to those students enrolled at either Edgemont School or Captain John Palliser School. Second priority goes to students enrolled in CBE programs that live in our two designated communities.
